As 2024 draws to a close, we look back on an incredible year of growth, innovation, and achievement. From hosting events to strengthening partnerships, it’s been a year of progress that we’re excited to share with you. Here’s a look back on the key moments that made this year truly special:
ManageEngine Partner Meet – January, Chennai
Gerry Cullen, Tim McAlpin and Sarneek Tiwari started the year on a high note at the ManageEngine Partner Meet in Chennai, India. The event brought together partners from around the world, allowing us to explore the latest in IT management, learn about upcoming product roadmaps, and hear inspiring customer success stories.
One of the highlights was being recognised for our 15-year partnership with ManageEngine. This is a milestone that reflects the strong collaboration and shared commitment to innovation we’ve built over the years. The meet was also a great opportunity to connect with global partners, share ideas, and set the tone for another exciting year ahead.
Digital Government Conference – February, Croke Park
In February, Aoife Walsh, Gerry, and Tim participated in the Digital Government Conference at Croke Park, Dublin. We showcased our IT solutions designed specifically for the public sector, highlighting how they can support digital transformation initiatives.
The conference was a fantastic opportunity to connect with public-sector professionals, exchange ideas, and deepen our understanding of the unique IT needs of government organisations. Events like these help us stay aligned with the goals of the public sector while continuing to innovate and deliver tailored IT solutions.
ManageEngine Endpoint Management Workshop – March, Dublin
In March, we hosted the ManageEngine Endpoint Management Workshop at the Clayton Hotel in Cardiff Lane, Dublin. This hands-on event provided attendees with practical training and the latest strategies in endpoint security and management, including expert guidance on utilising every feature of Endpoint Central effectively and troubleshooting recurring challenges in endpoint management. A key highlight of the event was our Endpoint Management Workshop, where we welcomed ManageEngine experts Romanus Prabhu Raymond and Santhosh Narasimhamoorthy. Their insights shed light on the evolving landscape of endpoint security and management, helping attendees better understand the challenges and opportunities in today’s rapidly changing digital environment.
The workshop featured engaging sessions led by our expert hosts, packed with discussions and real-world demonstrations. Participants gained an in-depth understanding of Endpoint Central’s advanced security features, including threat prevention, incident response, and data protection best practices. They also mastered navigating Endpoint Central’s intuitive interface, automating routine tasks, crafting workflows, and maintaining vigilant device monitoring to strengthen their IT infrastructure.
The ServiceDesk and IT Support Show – April, London
Aoife visited London in April for the ServiceDesk and IT Support Show (SITS24) at the ExCeL Centre. This was our second time attending the event, and it did not disappoint! Aoife joined forces with ManageEngine at their booth, talking with attendees to explore their ITSM needs, addressing questions about service desk optimisation, and demonstrating cutting-edge solutions for incident management, workflow automation, and user support.
The event was also a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and partners. It was great catching up with the Set3 Solutions team, Chris, Joshua and Alan and members of the ManageEngine team.
Office Revamp – May
We transformed the unused dead space at the back of our office, merging two small, unused rooms into one modern, functional training room. This revamped space is now a hub for collaboration and innovation, turning what was once wasted space into a valuable resource for our team.
CIO & IT Leaders’ Summit & Infosecurity Europe – June
In June, Sarneek, Gerry, and Aoife attended the CIO & IT Leaders’ Summit at Croke Park. They engaged with senior IT professionals and leaders to discuss emerging trends, the latest innovations, and the evolving challenges facing CIOs in today’s fast-paced digital landscape. The event included in-depth discussions on key topics such as cybersecurity, digital transformation, and the strategic role of IT in driving business growth. This invaluable experience provided them with cutting-edge industry insights and networking opportunities, ensuring they remain at the forefront of IT leadership and innovation.
Gerry also participated in Infosecurity Europe in London as part of the Dare to Defend Against Cyber Threats event. He had the opportunity to share key insights with attendees, showcasing our expertise and engaging with professionals passionate about strengthening cybersecurity across industries. Both events were a great success, reinforcing our commitment to driving excellence in the field.
ManageEngine Cybersecure Roadshow, Cork & Dublin – September
The ManageEngine Cybersecure Roadshow 2024 brought together IT professionals and cybersecurity experts across Ireland for two impactful events. Hosted at The Kingsley Hotel in Cork City and The Royal Marine Hotel in Dublin City, the roadshow featured sessions on emerging threats, compliance challenges like GDPR, and practical strategies for enhancing cybersecurity.
Highlights included a keynote by Paul C. Dwyer on navigating the cyber storm and preparing for the upcoming Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), set to take effect in 2025. Eileen Kelly shared insights on defensive actions for multi-framework compliance, while Ray Manash explored modern identity and access management. Attendees also participated in workshops covering topics like SIEM, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and unified cyber resilience strategies.
The events provided a platform for learning, networking, and discovering ManageEngine’s innovative solutions. For those who missed out, highlights and speaker interviews are available on our YouTube channel, offering great insights to help organisations strengthen their IT defences.
Cyber Security Summit, Croke Park – October
This year’s Cyber Security Summit at Croke Park focused on addressing the most pressing challenges in digital security, offering insights and strategies to navigate evolving cybersecurity. Servaplex, alongside ManageEngine, showcased IT management solutions, demonstrating how our products address the evolving demands of cyber resilience. We highlighted the importance of integrated cybersecurity solutions for protecting essential systems and ensuring compliance with NIS2 and DORA.
A standout moment of the event was Lakshmi Srinivasan’s presentation on “Enhancing Security Monitoring in Critical Infrastructure for NIS2 Compliance.” Her insights sparked significant interest, leading to numerous attendees visiting our stand to discuss the topic and explore strategies for achieving NIS2 compliance. Ossian Smyth, Minister of State for Public Expenditure and Reform, visited our stand, emphasising the importance of government and industry collaboration in safeguarding critical infrastructure.
Visiting our European Partners:
In October, Servaplex had the privilege of attending the ManageEngine User Conference in Poznan, Poland, hosted by MWT Solutions S.A. This event gave the team an excellent platform to connect with ManageEngine’s European partners, share knowledge, and exchange strategies for driving success across the region. The conference also offered valuable insights into the latest developments and best practices in IT management.
SREcon24 Europe
Late October took us to SREcon24 at the Convention Centre Dublin, where Servaplex attended an event that was a must for anyone interested in site reliability and system engineering. Tim represented Servaplex alongside the ManageEngine Site24x7 team, answering attendees’ questions about server, network, and app performance monitoring.
HEAnet Conference, Killarney– November
At this year’s HEAnet conference in Killarney, Servaplex was represented by Gerry, Tim, and Aoife. They had the chance to reconnect with customers, meet new faces, and showcase how ManageEngine simplifies IT management for education.
The stand was busy with great conversations, fun swag, and a lucky draw that added extra excitement to the day. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with everyone and discuss how our solutions can support the education sector. Being back in Killarney for HEAnet 2024 was a highlight, and we’re already looking forward to next year!
Public Sector Cyber Seminar, Kilkea- November
For our final event of the year, Servaplex attended the Public Sector Cyber Seminar with the ManageEngine UEMS team, hosted by Paradyn at the stunning Kilkea Castle Hotel & Golf Resort. Tim and Gerry represented Servaplex, which provided an excellent opportunity to close out the year on a high note. The seminar featured expert speakers, practical strategies, and valuable discussions on the latest trends which offered cutting-edge insights into cybersecurity challenges. It was a fantastic chance to connect with industry leaders and explore the key issues facing the public sector.
