We’d like to thank everyone who made our two most recent Seminars possible, including all of our attendees, The Royal Marine hotel staff, the team from ManageEngine staff, and all in Servaplex. Both events went well, and we couldn’t have asked for a better two days. In this post, we’ll have a quick recap of the events to whet your whistle for the next one!

June 30th: IAM & SIEM Seminar

Our first event was about IAM & SIEM Cybersecurity and hit the road running. Once the room was opened, the guests arrived and that was the cue for the experts to take the stage and they delivered!

  • Vivin Sathyan, Senior Technical Evangelist at ManageEngine, kicked off the event with the topic of “The Basics of Zero Trust: Essential Steps to Implementation”. Afterwards there was a networking break with some cakes, tea, and coffee.
  • Harish Sekar, Technical Evangelist, AD solutions at ManageEngine was up next talking about “Cyber attacks and business: Bridging the Gap through zero trust”
  • We had Paul Hearns from PJH Consulting there for a round table chat which included VimalRaj S (Technical Sales Head), Harish and Paul Casey from Paradyn. This was a great session as it allowed attendants could to ask questions about the issues and problems they have and the experts were on hand to answer them right away.

We finished the afternoon off with lunch and a networking chat.

July 7th:  Unified Endpoint Management (Endpoint Central) Seminar

The next Seminar came around a week later and was all about unified endpoint management.

The morning started off with Romanus Prabhu, Global head of support, ManageEngine UEM who joined us remotely from India to speak about “Unifying endpoint security strategies for enterprises”. This was followed by Santhosh Narasimhamoorthy, Senior Technical Evangelist, who spoke about “Patch management – Protecting against known vulnerabilities”

After snacks we had Roobhan Karthikeyan V – Lead Technical Consultant who spoke in depth about “Spotlight on security risk & blind-spots – known, unknown vulnerabilities”.

Paul Hearns from PJH Consulting joined us again, for another round table discussion which involved Enda Martin and James Doran from Windsor Motors and Roobhan. They spoke about Endpoint Central and then answered some challenging questions from the audience.

Q&A and Teddy’s Ice Cream

ManageEngine then hosted a quick quiz which was won by Rob Norton in Paradyn (quick fingers). After that lunch was served and once everything was cleaned up we treated the ManageEngine team to a delicious Teddy’s ice-cream, well deserved after all that hard work and a right of passage for some! Needless to say, it went down a treat.

On To The Next Seminar

All in all these two events were excellent and after the lack of face-to-face events over the last few years it was great to see colleagues and clients again. A big thank you to everyone involved and please keep an eye out for more events over the coming months. We’ve got a taste for them (and Teddy’s!) again now so rest assured there will be another one soon.
